New Song Clips (finally)
Last Remark are a punk/pop trio that formed in Corona, California where Jonathan Shelley and Chris Dumont met in elementary school and formed the first version of their band, just guitar and drums.
Jonathan and Chris clicked immediately as players and began writing songs together. During their search for a bass player that fit their sound (and age), they individually competed in local contests showcasing their talents where they were very successful. When Chris moved to another part of Corona, he met Eric and asked him to join the band. Eric was the perfect fit and they were now a trio.
The band's first successful gig was at the Fender Museum's Battle of the Bands in April of 2000 in Corona, California. They were one of the youngest bands competing and placed third out of 20 other bands. With the buzz of the contest fueling their ambition, they went into the studio to record their first 4 song CD. Check out a sample..........
The CD is turning heads and their live show backs up what they accomplished in the studio.
On October 21, 2000, Last Remark took First Place at Fender's Battle of the Bands!!! They recorded 3 new songs with John Page of the Fender Museum.
On February 9th, 2001, the boys were invited to appear on the KHPY (1530 AM) radio show " The Spotlight" where they played live and talked with radio personalities, Dangerous Dan and Frank N. Stein. They also took calls and played songs from their CD. If you missed it, check out what Dangerous Dan and Frankenstein thought of the band. www.thespotlight.wo.to
On February 25th,2001, Last Remark made their L.A. debut at the world famous Whiskey. They rocked the house and blew everyone away. They closed with their own version of Ballroom Blitz which ended a blistering set. They gained the respect of fellow musicians and the Whiskey.
